Abstract

Adolescence is prone to the emergence of aggressive behaviors that are influenced by various factors, including gender. Therefore, this study aims to determine the difference in the level of aggressive behavior based on gender in junior high school students. The population in this study is 193 students in grade VII UPTD SMPN 11 Kupang City for the 2025/2026 school year, the sampling technique used is simple random sampling. It was calculated based on Arikunto's guidelines, to get the number of respondents as much as 25% of the total population, so that 48 students were obtained as a research sample. The data collection technique used an aggressive behavior questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, while the data analysis technique used an independent t-test sample. The results of this study show that there is no significant difference in the level of aggressive behavior between male students and female students in grade VII UPTD SMPN 11 Kupang City for the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The results of this study also showed that aggressive behavior in early adolescent students in the school was at the same level without being influenced by gender factors.
